I’m Marisa Korovesis, an author and illustrator who’s happiest with a sketchbook in hand and a trail beneath my feet.

 

​I have always been known as a doodler. I earned a BA in Fine Arts from Oakland University and a 2D Animation certificate from the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts.

 

Growing up in Michigan’s woodlands taught me to treasure the small, whimsical wonders. I’m enchanted by anything aquatic and delight in gathering acorn tops.

 

My creativity is vastly inspired by folktales and adventure. Being an illustrator begins with an act of imagination and letting it run wild.

 

Illustrating is how I give shape to the stories and creatures that spark joy from the world around me.​
